Knitting on the strike line

But first things first...

My very first tomato, ever.

I'm having a tomato! Bear with me here. This is my first attempt at growing anything edible and I am very excited about getting to taste the literal fruits of my labour soon!

We are still on strike. Boo! =( But to keep busy on the picket line a bunch of knitters have organized a cause for our communal knitting. Knitting hats for the less fortunate in Vancouver's Downtown East Side. I've got 3 made so far. (Props to Angela at Food and Yarn and Divinity at Knitteriety for their superb organizational skills and knitting prowess!)
